I went on a tour of Doolin caves when i visited Ireland, and it was the best thing i did my whole time there. I love science-y things and the cave was absolutely amazing! The tour guide (Bryan or Brian) kept everyone entertained and he was very cute. I highly suggest visiting Doolin caves! :)

Had the splended chance of being in Doolin in May of 2009 and happened upon the Doolin cave just by chance, After having lunch in one of the local pubs my wife, aunt, uncle and myself thought we were just killing time by taking the cave tour, well to my utter amazement what a thrill " just killing time" turned into one of the most enjoyable experience's we had on our 20 day holiday in a wonderful country that is Ireland.

Well done and many thanks

Hi,

Just back from a great weekend in Doolin, where we visited the Doolin Cave (amongst other things). I visited the cave many times in the past (before it opened as a show cave) and was pleased with the whole show cave experience. The centre is very well designed, the cave guide was friendly and full of information and the trip into the cave was excellent. The show cave captures and preserves the feeling of a wild cave and the illumination of the Great Stal is very impressive.

Overall - a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone!

I had last seen the stalactite after crawling along the tunnel in the 1970s. Then we were amazed even in the light of our weak torches. To see it in all its magnificence properly lit was an experience I had never expected to see.

We visited the cave in October and had a fabulous time. In the evening had some music in the pub - brilliant. There is one thing I have to ask. Is it possible you could post an item from the shop in time for Xmas? My wife fancied an Aran sweater but did not buy it when she should have. I should like to get it for her (size 16)

many thanks in anticipation

Dear MR. John,
What a pleasure!!!
We are the Austrian couple who one day in May came late to visit your cave, but you were so kind to open the gate again for us and showed us your so exciting place - your cave!
We are still impressed when we recall your "lightshow" with your stalactite!!
Thank you so much!
Everybody who intends to visit Ireland we recommend to see your Doolin cave.

So Much Fun.
We did this on a whim. We just happened to drive past it. The tour guide was so funny and certainly knew his stuff. We got to see the largest (not longest) stalactite in the entire world! We loved this cave. Just be sure you're willing to do some stair-climbing! Visited October 2011

My partner said - you want to go see a stalagtite, but there is just one.... What a one!
My daughter studies geography so her info re limstone pavements(!) and the owners account of the history was great. I am SO pleased we went to Doolins cave

Nothing prepared me for the sheer size of the Stalactite. It was amazing. I always knew there was something special in Doolin and I found it this week! Ailwee Cave is a mere appetiser, Doolin Cave is the main course! No wonder Ailwee Cave have objected to the owner's application to build a Visitor Centre. I do feel that a Visitor Centre will spoil the experience of Doolin Cave. So Ailwee are actually doing Doolin a favour! Keep it as it is lads, the steps down to the attraction are all part of the wonderful experience.
